- What counts as a brief?
- One call to the brief endpoint in quick mode. A deep brief (mode: deep, or a deep_dive into a cited source) meters at a higher rate — the exact multiple is shown before you confirm, and in the API response.
- What happens when I run out?
- Buy a credit pack for overage or wait for the monthly reset. There is deliberately no unlimited tier: every brief costs us real research compute, and an unlimited tier would eventually make brief quality someone else's externality.
- Do unused briefs roll over?
- No. Credit packs don't expire; monthly quotas reset.
- How do I sign up?
- Run npx webbrief login — it opens the browser once for the device flow, creates your account, and stores the key locally. Your agent can do every step except the one browser approval.
